Join us on a walk through the Stockholm that shaped Astrid Lindgren – and which in turn became a part of her stories.

We begin in the memory of childhood.
Play, freedom, and imagination – things that never really leave a person.

Then Stockholm.
A city in transition, where Astrid finds her way as a young woman, works, writes – and shapes the stories that would come to change children's literature.

We move through the Atlas area and Vasaparken, where she lived and wrote.
Here are traces of everyday life – but also of something else.

A boy on a bench.
A thought that becomes Mio, My Son.

A story at a bedside that becomes Pippi Longstocking –
strong, free, and entirely her own.

Along the way, we pass places like Sabbatsberg and Tegnérlunden – environments that Astrid returned to, both in life and in imagination.

This is a walk between reality and story.
Where the city is not just a place – but a source of fairy tales.

Clothing according to weather and comfortable shoes. Keep in mind that it is colder to stand still and listen than to be out walking in the cold.
