New Hope
Berättelser har alltid varit en viktig del av mitt liv. Men jag tror också att berättelser kan göra skillnad på riktigt.
Därför är jag glad över att vara styrelseledamot i Reseindustrins Barnfond New Hope, en ideell stiftelse som sedan 1989 arbetar för att ge barn och unga i utsatthet bättre möjligheter genom utbildning och trygghet.
Det som tilltalar mig mest är att arbetet är konkret, småskaligt och personligt. Stödet går direkt till skolor och barn i bland annat Kenya, Nepal, Filippinerna och Ukraina. Allt arbete sker ideellt och utan mellanhänder.
Under många år har jag valt att låta en del av mina stadsvandringar bidra till New Hopes arbete. För mig är det ett fint sätt att förena resande, berättande och ansvar – och att ge fler barn möjlighet att skriva sina egna framtidsberättelser. 💚

SweGuide is a national interest organization and authorization body for professional tourist guides and nature guides in Sweden. The association brings together over 400 guides who have been trained according to a common standard to guarantee high quality, knowledge and hospitality, often in cooperation with local associations.
