We meet at the main entrance to Adolf Fredrik's Church.

Welcome to an exciting city walk in Norrmalm, a part of vibrant Stockholm! Join me back to the last years of the 19th century and discover the city's dramatic transformation. Here you will meet Lotten Nilsson, the widow of the dockworker Henning, and her children.

Their lives are marked by a city in rapid development, but the road to a better life is still long. Listen to stories about the children Emelie at Melinder's technical factory, about August who was adopted away, and about Olof who reminds so much of Henning.

This city walk takes you on a journey through historical places and buildings. You will learn about classic myths, events and Stockholm's rich history.

• Guided city walk approx. 90 minutes at a leisurely pace

• Explore Norrmalm and experience Stockholm's dramatic transformation during the last years of the 19th century.

• Meet Lotten Nilsson, the widow of the dockworker Henning, and learn about her children's lives in a city in development.

• Hear about Emelie at Melinder's technical factory, August who was adopted away, and Olof who resembles Henning.

• A journey through historical places and buildings, filled with Stockholm's rich history and classic myths.

Clothing according to the weather and comfortable shoes. Keep in mind that it is colder to stand still and listen than to be out walking in the cold.
