Snösätra - the color palette of art

Experience one of Europe's most colorful free zones for street art – and try spray painting yourself!
Join a guided walk through Högdalen's history, subculture and community planning, before we step into Snösätra's unique world of graffiti and urban art.

We start in Högdalen, where we talk about the ideals of the ABC city, the expansion of the subway and artists such as Willy Gordon and Casper. Then we continue towards Snösätra – an industrial area that has been transformed into a living, legal gallery for some of Sweden's leading graffiti artists.

Want to try it yourself? I have spray cans with me – for those who want to, there is the opportunity to try painting on site (on an approved wall, of course!). It is completely voluntary – but very appreciated.

What is included in the city walk?

• Stories about famous graffiti artists like YASH!, Puppet, Vickan and Zappo

• A walk from the 18th century to hip hop culture

• how a demolition area became a center for street art

• A chance to try spray painting – in a safe environment

• Discussion about art, politics and the right to take place in the public space

Children under 15 are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult and can join free of charge.

Kind dogs on leashes are welcome together with their owner

🧥 Clothing
Clothing according to the weather and comfortable shoes. Keep in mind that it is colder to stand still and listen than to be out walking in the cold.
